Welcome Back!

We are very excited to announce that we will be opening our doors for in-person physiotherapy and massage therapy treatments starting Tuesday, June 2. The Ministry of Health has recommended that we encourage those that can take advantage of telehealth services to support physical distancing please continue to do so. Our skilled therapist will continue to offer telehealth appointments. But we couldn’t be more thrilled that we can now offer in-person physiotherapy and massage appointments.

For clients in the GLA:D arthritis group exercise program, we will encourage you to come into the clinic for your initial evaluation. Your education and exercises class sessions will then be conducted virtually for the program’s duration.

The safety of our patients and staff is of utmost importance during our reopening process. If you have been in the clinic before, you will notice that there have been some changes in our layout to accommodate for social distancing.

Some of the changes in our policies and procedures will include:

  1. Prior to your appointment you will get a reminder email that will include a self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms. If you have any symptoms or have had any exposure, please contact the clinic to reschedule your appointment.
  2. We ask that you to arrive 5 minutes before your appointment and wait in your car. The front desk staff will text or call to let you know when your therapist is ready for your treatment. This will allow everyone to maintain social distancing.
  3. Please come to your appointment alone. If you must be accompanied by another person, please let our front desk staff know so that we can accommodate.
  4. You will be asked to wear a mask when in for your appointment. Please wear your own mask if possible, in an effort to preserve PPE. Your therapist will be wearing a level 3 surgical mask throughout your appointment and may wear a gown or gloves depending on the treatment provided.
  5. Please sanitize your hands upon arrival. You will then be asked COVID-19 screening questions before your appointment.
  6. You will be asked to pay for your appointment prior to your session, and your therapist will take you back for your treatment when ready.
  7. When your treatment session is over, please sanitize your hands and follow the arrows to the back door of the clinic where you will take a short walk around the building back to your car. We understand that this is a minor inconvenience; however, it will help to ensure minimal interaction with others in the clinic.
  8. When you get back to your car or when you get home, please call the clinic or conveniently book your next appointment online through your patient portal.

We are well stocked with PPE and hospital grade cleaners that will be used to disinfect each surface after your treatment session. In an effort to limit use at the clinic, please remember to use the washroom at your house prior to leaving for your appointment.
