Our goal is to build physical literacy and prevent injury, ensuring they grow stronger, safer, and more resilient.
Keep young athletes in the game by preventing avoidable injuries.
Too many young athletes are sidelined by injuries caused by early specialization, movement asymmetries, and unbalanced training.
Our program focuses on physical testing to establish a baseline for strength and functional movement, helping identify and address areas of weakness. By promoting balanced development and physical literacy, we aim to keep young athletes strong, resilient, and injury-free as they grow and compete.
The foundation of our program is functional movement, where athletes master fundamental skills like lunging, squatting, jumping, and upper body pushing and pulling – performed evenly on both sides to address imbalances. Since sports require a certain degree of power, we tailor training to individual needs: if strength is lacking, we focus on building it; if strength is sufficient, we shift the focus on how the body reacts to increasing speed. This ensures a balanced, effective progression for every athlete.
The assessment includes functional testing, strength testing, and a review of health and injury history, as well as a discussion about the sports the athlete participates in. This comprehensive evaluation helps tailor the program to the athlete’s specific needs and goals.
Understand which areas need improvement and which are performing well. Each athlete will receive specific exercises tailored to their individual level to promote balanced development and progress.
The program runs for 6 weeks, with sessions held twice per week for 1 hour each. Training is conducted in small groups of 4-6 athletes to ensure personalized attention and effective coaching.
At the end of the program, retesting will be conducted to assess gains in strength, mobility, and overall improvement in technique, ensuring measurable progress.
Building stronger, safer, and more resilient athletes through targeted physiotherapy.
Address movement asymmetries and strengthen key areas to reduce the risk of common injuries associated with youth sports.
Enhance strength, mobility, and coordination to support better technique and overall athletic performance.
Promote physical literacy and ensure balanced development by targeting fundamental movements like squatting, lunging, and jumping on both sides of the body.
Build a strong foundation of functional movement and strength that supports lifelong participation in sports and physical activities.
This is not a personal training program. Instead, it’s a preparatory program designed to build a baseline level of strength and mobility. Athletes will leave with the tools and foundation to continue training effectively at home or transition seamlessly into higher-intensity team training facilities or gym programs.
Playing sports offers countless benefits for young athletes, including improved physical fitness, mental well-being, teamwork skills, and confidence. Sports help build resilience, discipline, and a love for an active lifestyle. Our goal is to ensure these benefits aren’t interrupted by preventable injuries. By addressing imbalances and building a strong foundation, we help keep young athletes in the game and enjoying all the rewards of their sport.
Form a small group of 4-6 athletes who are within one year of each other in age and at similar skill levels. Ideally, teammates from the same team work best to create a cohesive and supportive training environment.
