Restore Strength and Confidence with Pelvic Physiotherapy

Pelvic physiotherapy is a specialized form of care that focuses on assessing and treating the pelvic floor muscles, which play a key role in bladder, bowel, and sexual function, as well as core stability. This therapy addresses issues such as incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, and postpartum recovery.

Through a combination of hands-on techniques, targeted exercises, and education, pelvic physiotherapy helps to restore strength, flexibility, and coordination in the pelvic region. Patients can benefit from reduced pain, improved function, and a better quality of life, empowering them to move and live with confidence.

In most cases, you don’t need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment. However, some insurance providers may require one for coverage.

Your first visit includes a detailed assessment of your pelvic health, which may involve discussing your symptoms, history, and goals. Depending on your comfort level, your physiotherapist may also conduct internal or external evaluations to determine the best treatment approach.

Your first session will be 60 minutes. Following that either 30 or 45 minute sessions will be recommended.

Not at all! Pelvic physiotherapy is beneficial for all genders and addresses issues such as pelvic pain, incontinence, and post-surgical recovery, including after prostate surgery.

Internal treatment may be recommended to assess or treat pelvic floor muscles, but it is always discussed beforehand, and your comfort and consent are our priority. Alternatives are available if internal treatment is not suitable or preferred.

This varies depending on the individual and the condition being treated. Many patients notice improvements within a few sessions, while others may require ongoing care to reach their goals.
