Our Bike Fit Program customizes your bike to fit you perfectly, ensuring maximum comfort and performance. We also conduct a physical assessment to optimize efficiency, reduce pain, and enhance your overall riding experience.
Connecting Your Bike to Your Body for Optimal Performance
Cycling requires hours in the saddle, so it’s crucial to ensure you’re comfortable and efficient throughout your ride. Whether you’re on a road bike, gravel bike, or mountain bike, we assess various elements of your setup, including:
•Saddle height and fore/aft position
•Cockpit length
•Handlebar drop and rotation
•Pedal stroke evaluation
•Cleat adjustments and wedging for pedal alignment
By fine-tuning these and other components, we help you achieve the ideal fit. Cycling’s static position can lead to muscle imbalances and repetitive strain injuries. That’s why we don’t just evaluate you on the bike—we also assess how you move off the bike. Matching your body’s capabilities with your bike ensures optimal efficiency, comfort, and, most importantly, pain-free long rides.
Our Bike Fitting Program combines physical evaluations, precise bike measurements, and an active cycling assessment to optimize your biomechanics.
We provide guidance on optimizing your bike setup, including ideal seat height and handlebar positioning, along with recommended exercises to enhance your cycling performance and prevent injuries.
We develop a personalized treatment plan that includes targeted exercises to improve your biomechanics and performance, along with recommendations for bike modifications, such as adjustments to handlebars, seat positioning, and other components for optimal fit and function.
Take the first step towards optimized performance and comfort. Book your session today and experience the difference a personalized approach can make!
A Bike and Body Fit is highly beneficial for improving riding efficiency, preventing injuries, and enhancing overall comfort by ensuring your bike is perfectly adjusted to your body’s unique biomechanics.
Our Bike Fit program is designed to improve your overall posture and optimize saddle fit, helping you achieve a more comfortable and efficient ride.
A proper bike fit can significantly reduce or even eliminate pain while riding by aligning your body with your bike for optimal comfort and efficiency.
By adjusting key elements such as saddle height, handlebar position, and pedal alignment, we help alleviate pressure points and prevent strain, allowing for a more enjoyable, pain-free ride.
Our Bike Fit program enhances your riding efficiency by optimizing the biomechanics between your body and bike. With personalized adjustments, we ensure your movements are more effective, helping you ride smoother and with less effort.
A proper bike fit can help optimize function by adapting to physical limitations like leg length discrepancies, past injuries, or structural challenges.
With tailored adjustments, we ensure your body moves efficiently and comfortably, reducing strain, preventing further injury, and enhancing your overall riding experience.
Your initial appointment lasts 2 hours and includes both the bike fit and a physical screening. Afterward, We use a series of physical screens, including squatting, wrist mobility and many others that directly relate to your bike body mechanics, ensuring you can fully utilize your muscles, strength, and mobility for optimal cycling performance.
If any asymmetries or dysfunctional areas are identified, we’ll prescribe corrective exercises to help restore balance and improve your overall riding efficiency.
Your second session, 30 minutes long, will follow up on how the new fit is working and ensure you’re performing the exercises correctly. A final check-in two weeks later will help progress your exercise plan to keep you on track.
Your bike fit and physical screening will be performed by a Canada Bike Fit Certified physiotherapist, and it may even qualify as a physiotherapy session for insurance purposes. Be sure to bring your bike, cycling clothes, and shoes—your bike will be mounted on a trainer during the session.
We believe in matching your bike to what your body can physically do, understanding that no two bike fits are exactly the same. We also emphasize the importance of addressing physical limitations, as improving them can lead to more efficient and pain-free riding.
“Connecting Your Bike to Your Body for Optimal Performance.”
